President's Message

Beruchim Habaim (Welcome),

The sages wrote that the world rests on three pillars: Torah, Service, and Acts of loving-kindness.

Here at Congregation Shaarei Kodesh of Boca Raton we take these words to heart. We pride ourselves on being a unique kehilla (congregation).  Our very special community actively participates in all phases of Jewish life. We have an active ritual life with services on Shabbat, holidays, and special occasions. We celebrate family milestones and misfortunes together as a community. We provide for beautiful Bar/Bat Mitzvah services and weddings as well as pastoral care, Shiva, and Yahrzeit minyans. We have an active social calendar for children, adults, and seniors. Our school is very highly regarded and we have many educational programs and guest speakers for our adults. Congregation Shaarei Kodesh is very active in social action programs. We believe that we all have a responsibility to help repair the world.

It is through these practices that the we embody our vision statement: “Journeying together on a path to holiness.” We are known as the “Haimische” shul, a place where we welcome all into our community, a place where everyone knows your name. It is virtually impossible to visit with Shaarei Kodesh and not have people introduce themselves and welcome you. Many lifelong friendships have been created within our walls.

Congregation Shaarei Kodesh is a Conservative, egalitarian Synagogue, a place that encourages worship, the study of Torah, reverence towards God, continued education, Jewish culture, Tzedakah and unwavering support for the land of Israel.

If you have not yet visited us, I invite you to attend services or a social event with us. I encourage each of you to find your special home with us here at Congregation Shaarei Kodesh. We are a place where you will find warmth, purpose, and a sense of belonging.

Shaarei Kodesh is affiliated with USCJ.

Welcome, and I look forward to building our lasting relationship together.

Warmest Regards,
Marty Radnor
President
Congregation Shaarei Kodesh
