Chaverim - Partners
Although we think in terms of membership when it comes to synagogues, at Congregation Shaarei Kodesh, we refer to our congregants as chaverim. Chaver/a is usually translated as friend, but it also means partner. We pride ourselves on the power of relationships; we are connected to each other, supporting each other in times of joy and grief. As partners, our congregation serves our chaverim, but our chaverim also serve our congregation as a whole, growing, sharing, and journeying together.

Chaver/Chavera - Individual: You have joined CSK. This is the full package: membership, High Holy Day in-person tickets, full rabbinical services, special rates for events, voting privileges, and so much more. $1030 + $100 Safety & Security Annual Fee
Vatikim - Seniors
In the book of Leviticus, we are commanded to rise before the aged, in Hebrew, “Mipnei Seivah Takum". Our seniors planted the seeds of Jewish life for us, so we honor them and continue learning from them in their golden years.
Vatikim (70+): Your household has joined CSK. This is the full package: membership, High Holy Day in-person tickets, full rabbinical services, special rates for events, member prices for religious school and youth group, voting privileges, and so much more. $1540 + $200 Safety & Security Annual Fee
Vatik/Vatikah (Individuals) (70+): You have joined CSK. This is the full package: membership, High Holy Day in-person ticket, full rabbinical services, special rates for events, voting privileges, and so much more. $770 + $100 Safety & Security Annual Fee
Cheitzi/Half Time: If you are members in good standing at another synagogue, this is for you. You have seasonal membership access without the full-time commitment. Virtual High Holy Day tickets are included. $1030 + $200 Safety & Security Annual Fee
Cheitzi/Half Time – Individual: If you are a member in good standing at another synagogue, this is for you. You have seasonal membership access without the full-time commitment. One Virtual High Holy Day ticket is included. $515 + $100 Safety & Security Annual Fee
Chaverim Chadashim/New Partners: This is a limited-time offer. This is the full package: special first-year new membership, Virtual High Holy Day tickets (In-person for an additional donation), full rabbinical services, special rates for events, member prices for religious school and youth group, voting privileges, and so much more. $360 + $100 (Single)/$200 (Family) Safety & Security Annual Fee
Chaverim Chadashim Year 2: This is the full package: special second-year membership, Virtual High Holy Day tickets (In-person for an additional donation), full rabbinical services, special rates for events, member prices for religious school and youth group, voting privileges, and so much more. $720 + $100 (Single)/$200 (Family) Safety & Security Annual Fee
Please note, Chaverim, Vatikim and Cheitzi categories, if you choose to make your payment in full by cash, check, or Zelle before August 15, 2023, you will receive a 3% discount off of dues only (not Safety & Security Fee).
All financial obligations must be completed by June 15, 2024, with the exception of Religious School tuition, which must be paid in full by April 28, 2024. There is a minimum payment due of $180 for a chaver/a or $360 for chaverim, with an agreed-upon recurring payment plan to pay the balance which must be implemented by High Holy Days. If you do not pay your dues in full at the time of submitting this application, a recurring payment plan must be agreed upon in order to receive your High Holy Day tickets. Please provide a credit or debit card or call the office to make other arrangements.
