THE SEARCH FOR HAMEITZ
SELLING YOUR HAMETZ
On Passover, Jews are forbidden from eating, or even owning chametz; food containing wheat or other grain products that have had an opportunity to ferment or rise. It is customary to sell all chametz owned to a non-Jew through an intermediary. (DEADLINE MARCH 25 - FORM CLOSED)
MA'OT CHITTIN
It is also customary to give extra charity at this time of year for Ma’ot Chittin, special funds set up within the Jewish community for whom the process of preparing for and celebrating the holiday would otherwise be difficult. (DEADLINE MARCH 25 - FORM CLOSED)
PESAH GUIDE 5781
This Rabbinical Assembly Pesah guide is a brief outline of the policies and procedures relevant to the preparation of a kosher for Pesah home. This guide is intended to help families maintain a kosher for Pesah home in accordance with the principles of Conservative Judaism and its understanding of Jewish Law.
