Teen Education

2025-2026

Dear CSK Teen Families,

This year, our Post B’nai Mitzvah program is going bigger and bolder than ever. We’re combining the best of Jewish learning, leadership, and teen connection — with experiences that your teen can’t get anywhere else in Boca.

We’re proud to partner with Moving Traditions, a nationally recognized program designed just for Jewish teens, to explore what it means to live a meaningful Jewish life in today’s world. Your teen will be mentored by Rabbi Baum and Alex Kassander, connect with friends, and take part in unforgettable experiences – from leadership training to hands-on social action to off-campus adventures.

Highlights this year include:

  • Shabbat Lunch & Learns with Rabbi Baum and our teen educator, Alex Kassander
  • Sunday adventures like Reverse Tashlich on the beach and the World-Wide-Wrap
  • Special events with Holocaust survivors, community leaders, and social justice initiatives
  • Youth Group field trips and off-campus bonding experiences
  • Leadership roles as madrikhim in our religious school — with community service hours

All teens who enroll in our Teen Ed Program can be Madrikhim/Teaching Assistants in our religious school on Sunday mornings and/or Tuesday afternoons, becoming role models for our younger students. This leadership experience not only builds skills and confidence, but our teaching assistants will also earn community service hours for their work.

Our goal is simple: to have every post B’nai Mitzvah teen at CSK engaged in a year of learning, friendship, and Jewish growth. Our program is not meant to fill up a calendar, but to ignite the unique Jewish spark within each of our teens and prepare them for the Jewish future.

Through shared experiences, deep conversations, Jewish learning, and meaningful service and action, we will help our teens see themselves as vital links in the chain of our tradition and active participants in shaping our Jewish future.

Another aspect of our Teen Program includes Gesher/USY Youth Group!

This year we are adding more field trips to our schedule to allow the teens to bond and have fun off campus. Youth Group will meet approximately twice a month; once on a Tuesday night alternating between CSK and B’nai Torah and once on a Sunday afternoon for an exciting outing.
