Exploring Judaism

“…Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.” Ruth 1:16

At Congregation Shaarei Kodesh, we believe that Judaism is a lifelong journey of learning, growth, and connection. Some are born into the Jewish people, and others come to Judaism through personal exploration and commitment. If you are curious about Judaism, or are considering conversion, we warmly welcome you to begin that journey with us.

Rabbi David Baum meets personally (one on one or in small groups) with those who wish to explore Judaism, whether you are just beginning to learn, seeking a deeper understanding, or thinking about becoming Jewish.

Together, you will study, reflect, and experience Jewish life in community. If you feel called to take this sacred step, conversion is guided by tradition, intention, and relationship with God, with the Jewish people, and with our congregation.

As part of this journey, we invite those on the path to conversion to become members/chaverim of our community, participating in synagogue life as you prepare to join the Jewish people.

To learn more or to set up an initial conversation, please reach out to Rabbi Baum by contacting our office (). We look forward to walking with you on this meaningful path.
