Our Reggio-inspired Kindergarten at The Bayit program meets on Sunday mornings and introduces children to Judaism through creativity, exploration, movement, relationships, and joyful community experiences. Children learn through hands-on discovery, art, music, storytelling, and meaningful holiday celebrations in a warm and nurturing environment designed especially for young learners.

Grades 1–2 at The Bayit meet on Sunday mornings and build upon the wonder and exploration of our Kindergarten program while encouraging greater independence, creativity, and Jewish confidence. Through immersive learning studios, students explore Jewish life through hands-on experiences, meaningful relationships, movement, creativity, and discovery.

Grades 3–4 at The Bayit combine immersive learning studios with the foundational Jewish skills and experiences that help students grow into confident, knowledgeable, and engaged Jewish learners. Students attend Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. As students become more independent thinkers, they are encouraged to ask big questions, explore their own Jewish identities, build relationships, and discover how Jewish values connect to the world around them. Through dynamic experiences, students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to take ownership of their Jewish journeys.

Grades 5–7 are pivotal years for students to become firmly rooted in their Jewish identities. Meeting on Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoons, students strengthen the foundations of a lifelong Jewish identity through personalized Hebrew instruction, prayer fluency, immersive learning studios, Torah, Israel, and meaningful Jewish experiences. Through engaging discussions, real-world learning, and authentic connections to Jewish values and the Jewish people, students develop the knowledge, confidence, and resilience to navigate the world as proud Jews. During these important years, students and families also participate in personalized, curated B’nai Mitzvah experiences that honor each child’s unique strengths, interests, and family traditions.

An Advanced Leadership Certificate Program for Jewish Teens
Shamash Leadership Institute is a unique leadership partnership between Congregation Shaarei Kodesh and B’nai Torah Congregation, bringing together motivated teens in grades 8–12 to develop as Jewish leaders, role models, and community builders.
Through a four part series, teens will develop real-world leadership skills while building relationships across synagogue communities. The program will focus on the practical tools teens need to lead with confidence, communicate with purpose, stay organized, and serve as positive role models for younger students and peers.

Welcome to the BRUSY Bats chapter of USY! As part of the Conservative Movement’s international youth organization, BRUSY Bats connects Jewish teens in grades 8–12 to a vibrant network of peers locally, regionally, and around the world. In partnership with B’nai Torah Congregation, teens meet weekly on Tuesday evenings at alternating locations for leadership opportunities, social action projects, engaging discussions, community-building, and plenty of fun. Students can take on leadership roles within their local chapter, serve on regional boards, attend conventions and retreats, and even pursue leadership opportunities on the international level. BRUSY Bats is more than a teen group, it’s a place to build lifelong friendships, develop leadership skills, make a difference, and become part of the next generation of Jewish leaders.
Sarah Weiss-Poland, a native New Yorker, is a master Jewish educator, educational innovator, and architect of new approaches to Jewish learning. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees from Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) and earned her master’s degree from the William Davidson School at JTS.
A granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor, Sarah combines her passion for strengthening Jewish communities with expertise in curriculum design, family engagement, and experiential learning. Her work has earned national recognition for innovation and for helping shape the future of Israel education and Jewish identity development through meaningful, relationship-centered educational methodologies.
Sarah currently serves as Regional Director of IsraelLINK, the classroom education division of StandWithUs, where she leads educational strategy, curriculum development, and educator engagement. She is so excited to join the CSK family in her role as Director of The Bayit, where she is reimagining supplemental Jewish education to help children and families build joyful, meaningful connections to Jewish life.
‘Morah Marla’ (Lindenbaum) was raised in Western Massachusetts and graduated from the University of Miami (Go Canes!) with a degree in Music Therapy. She has been involved in Jewish Education ‘forever’ and has taught Judaica/Preschool music in Broward County. She has taught all grades in Religious School as well as Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation in a Special Needs program for the South Broward area synagogues. She has been teaching at Congregation Shaarei Kodesh for 5 years, sharing her love of children, music, and Judaism.
Shalom! Robin Koota is delighted to be part of the wonderful teaching staff at Congregation Shaarei Kodesh. Robin previously worked in Jewish Education with Kim Beame, Executive Director/Religious School Director, Kim Beame, and is delighted to be reunited. Robin is a proponent of using hands-on materials and allowing students to take a more active approach to their learning. By day, Robin is a public school teacher in West Boca Raton. Robin also tutors students in Hebrew for preparation for B’nai Mitzvah and is passionate about Jewish music. We know that Robin’s experience and passions will bring a meaningful Religious School experience to your child.
Alex Kassander, a Jew-of-all-trades, recently married, newish CSK member, and filled with energy. His extracurricular as a Hebrew and Religious School teacher (grades pre-K -12) has had him teaching at synagogues in St. Louis, Orlando and now at Congregation Shaarei Kodesh. Working at Disney, his path spans leadership, mentoring, restaurant operations, and now, restaurant and retail technology, reflecting his passion for development. Outside of work, family, friends, and community building are his priorities.
Yenth’l Garcia has been a Religious School teacher for 18 years. Yenth’l has a Master of Science in Education from the University of Miami and Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Florida International University. She has taught preschool and elementary school in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Yenth’l has a son, Meir, age 9 and daughter, Elka, age 4 who also attend the CSK Religious School. Ms. Kim Beame was Yenth’l’s religious school teacher when she was a child.
