Shavuot "The Blind Date" with Shalom Orzach
Sunday, May 24, 2020 • 1 Sivan 5780
10:30 AM - 12:00 PMZoomIn a counterintuitive way, Shavuot is a “Blind Date” we only know when it occurs through the counting (of the Omer) that begins on the second night of Pesach. What is the “story” with/ of Shavuot? The Story of Ruth chosen to be read on Shavuot sheds remarkable light on relationships. It provides a profound context for receiving... the other as a prelude perhaps to receiving the Torah. This session will glean (pun intended) these fields and landscapes to consider how these relationships ought to inform ours.
