Welcome

A Message From Our President

By Nicole Katz, President

High Holy Days are quickly approaching and we must begin the process of introspection and reconciliation –with ourselves, our associates, and with God - in preparation for the High Holy days. We are thrilled to have you join Congregation Shaarei Kodesh for a meaningful and inspiring holiday.

We are proud to welcome our full-time Rabbi, Rabbi David Baum, who will be starting in July. Ben Zoma teaches in the Pirkei Avot: Who is wise? Those who learn from everyone; as it is written: "From all my teachers have I gained understanding" (Psalm 119:99). We are delighted to have a new spiritual leader and teacher in our midst, Rabbi David Baum. We encourage each of you to get to know our new Rabbi as you experience Congregation Shaarei Kodesh.

Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services will be held a the Countess de Hoernle Theatre on the campus of Spanish River High School, located on Jog Road in Boca Raton. A Yizkor Memorial Book will be printed for remembrance with the names of our loves ones. Also, we will host a congregational Break the Fast immediately following Yom Kippur services.

Our wonderful volunteers are at the greeter’s tables to insure everyone has tickets and a kippah, tallit and prayer book, if needed. Volunteer ushers will be at the doors to the sanctuary to assist you if needed and to insure that during the rabbi’s sermon and when the ark is open, we don’t move in and out of the sanctuary.

Come and join your friends, neighbors and family who will be worshipping with Shaarei Kodesh. Whether you buy tickets to join us for the holidays, join us as new members, come to celebrate Shabbat, or to meet Rabbi Baum, we invite you to experience Shaarei Kodesh - a synagogue you can call home.

On behalf of your Shaarei Kodesh family, we wish you, your family and friends a happy, healthy New Year.

L'shana Tova Tikatevu,
Nicole Katz
President
