Presidents' Message

Baruchim Habaim

We are so glad that you have found Congregation Shaarei Kodesh on the world wide web!

Congregation Shaarei Kodesh, founded in 2004,and merged with Congregation Beth Tikvah in 2008, is an egalitarian, inter-generational Jewish community located in West Boca Raton, Florida, and is affiliated with the USCJ.  We pride ourselves on being a unique kehilla, unlike other local synagogues.  Our community participates in all aspects of synagogue life, whether it be in song during a spirited worship service, leading an educational program, assisting with kitchen prep for a congregational Shabbat dinner or volunteering with a social action project to help repair the world. We celebrate Shabbat weekly, all Yom Tovs and family milestones and provide for Shiva and Yartzeit minyans as needed. It is through these practices as a community that we embody our vision statement, “Journeying Together on a Path to Holiness.” Congregation Shaarei Kodesh, or CSK as we more affectionately call ourselves, is often described as the “haimesche” shul; a place where we welcome all into our community; a place where “everyone knows your name.” CSK is a place that encourages prayer and reverence toward G-D, the study of Torah and Jewish culture,  social action and Tzedakah, promotes education at all ages, and is committed to the unwavering support of Israel.

We are proud to serve as Congregation Shaarei Kodesh’s co-presidents and are honored to help lead the journey from strength to strength. There is a place for everyone at CSK. Feel free to bring your passions and aspirations here. Our journey as a holy community, a kehilla kedosha, has only just begun and there is a place for YOU in our “haimesche” sanctuary.

B’Shalom,

Carol Raphan & Judith Richman
